A typing game that pays in USDC on Solana
TypeBag is a 1v1 typing race for money: two players type the same 30–60 second passage, and the faster, more accurate typist takes 90% of the pot. It is free to try with no account, or staked at $1–$10 in USDC on Solana.
You win USDC, the dollar stablecoin, settled on Solana. Not points, not a platform token, not something you have to sell on a thin market before it means anything. If you win a $10 duel, $18 in USDC is in your balance and you can withdraw it.
If you have never touched crypto
You do not need to learn any of it. Sign up with an email address or a Google account and a Solana wallet is created for you as part of that: no seed phrase to write down, no browser extension, no separate app. It behaves like an account balance, because for most players that is all it needs to be.
It is still a real wallet, though, and it is yours: you can export the key at any time and take custody elsewhere. Nothing about the easy path locks you into it.
If you already hold USDC
Deposit straight from Phantom, Backpack, Solflare or any other Solana wallet. And a detail that matters more than it sounds: a wallet holding USDC but zero SOL can still deposit.
Normally that wallet is stuck: the USDC is right there, but a Solana transaction needs SOL for gas, so you have to go and acquire SOL from somewhere before you can move your own money. TypeBag sponsors that: the platform sends a small one-time SOL drip to cover the gas, and the deposit goes through. You never have to solve the empty-gas-tank problem yourself.
Getting paid out
Withdraw as USDC, or as native SOL if you would rather hold that; the platform handles the swap. Withdrawals typically confirm in under a minute. Larger withdrawals get a manual review pass before release, which is a fraud control rather than a hold on your funds; everything under the threshold is automatic.
There is no withdrawal fee beyond network gas, no minimum balance, and no waiting period after a win; duel winnings are in your balance the moment the race ends. Card deposits are not currently available; funding is direct USDC only.
This is not a play-to-earn game
Worth saying plainly, because the category has earned its reputation. There is no TypeBag token to buy, no NFT to mint, no staking yield, no referral pyramid holding the economy up, and no emissions schedule that needs new entrants to keep the number going.
The economy is: two players put up USDC, one of them types faster, the winner takes 90% and the platform keeps 10%. Money enters when players deposit and leaves when they withdraw. There is nothing to be early to.
Where your money actually sits
Straightforwardly: deposits and withdrawals happen on-chain, and while your balance is on the platform it is held in TypeBag's ledger rather than in your own wallet; custodial, in other words, in the same way an exchange balance is. That is what lets a duel settle instantly instead of waiting on block confirmation for a 40-second race.
What we do about that: every balance change happens inside a database transaction and is written to an audit log, a reconciliation job compares the entire expected ledger against the actual on-chain balance daily and alerts a human on any drift, and platform signing keys live in hardware security modules rather than as values in our infrastructure. Withdraw whenever you like; there is no lock-up.
Crypto questions
Do I need SOL to pay for gas?
No. If your wallet holds USDC but no SOL, TypeBag sponsors the gas for your deposit: the platform sends a small one-time SOL drip to cover it. A USDC-only wallet can deposit without you first buying SOL from somewhere else.
Which wallets can I deposit from?
Any Solana wallet: Phantom, Backpack and Solflare are the common ones. You can also skip external wallets entirely: signing up with an email address or Google account creates an embedded Solana wallet for you.
Can I withdraw as SOL instead of USDC?
Yes. Withdrawals go out as USDC by default, or as native SOL if you prefer; the platform performs the swap and sends you SOL. Both typically confirm in under a minute.
Is there a token or NFT I need to buy?
No. There is no TypeBag token, no NFT and nothing to mint. You deposit USDC, you play, you withdraw USDC. That is the entire economy.
Do I need a seed phrase?
Not unless you want one. The embedded wallet created at signup is managed for you and needs no seed phrase, and you can export its key at any point if you want custody elsewhere.
