Responsible Play
TypeBag is a real-money skill platform. Even though outcomes are determined by skill, putting your own money on the outcome of any contest can become harmful if it stops being fun, if it interferes with your relationships, work, or finances, or if you feel compelled to play to recover losses. This page explains what we do, and what you can do, to keep play healthy.
1. Self-Assessment
The following questions, adapted from screening tools used by gambling-support organisations, may help you reflect on your relationship with TypeBag:
- Have you ever lied to people close to you about how much time or money you spend playing?
- Have you stopped paying bills, eating, or sleeping in order to play?
- Do you keep playing in order to recover losses?
- Do you feel anxious, irritable, or restless when you are not able to play?
- Has someone close to you expressed concern about your play?
If you answered "yes" to any of these, please consider taking a break or excluding yourself from the Service. Resources are listed below.
2. Tools You Can Use
Time-out
You can request a temporary time-out of 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days by emailing [email protected] from the email associated with your account. We will block your account from logging in for the chosen period. During a time-out you can still withdraw any available balance.
Self-exclusion
You can request a permanent self-exclusion by emailing [email protected]. Self-exclusion is irreversible. Once self-excluded, your account is closed permanently, your available balance is returned to your designated withdrawal address, and you may not open another account on TypeBag using the same email, Privy identity, IP, device, or wallet. We will use reasonable measures to detect and close circumvention attempts.
Account closure
At any time you may close your account voluntarily after withdrawing your balance. Account closure is not the same as self-exclusion: a closed account can be re-opened on request.
3. Limits
v1 of the Service offers fixed stake tiers ($1, $3, $5, $10) only. There is no roulette-style continuous wagering loop, no progressive multiplier, and no in-app purchases beyond the deposit/withdraw of USDC. We will introduce deposit/loss/session limits as we add higher stake tiers.
4. Minors
TypeBag is strictly for adults aged 18 or over. If you are a parent, guardian, or caregiver and you suspect a minor has accessed the Service, please contact [email protected] and we will close the account and refund any balance to the deposit source.
5. Where to Get Help
If TypeBag, or any other form of wagering, is causing harm in your life, please reach out to a support service in your country. The following organisations are free, confidential, and experienced with skill-based wagering as well as traditional gambling:
- BeGambleAware (UK and international) — begambleaware.org
- GamCare — gamcare.org.uk · 0808 8020 133
- Joaca Responsabil (Romania) — joacaresponsabil.ro
- Gamblers Anonymous (international meeting finder) — gamblersanonymous.org
6. Our Commitments
- We do not advertise to minors. We do not advertise on platforms whose audience is predominantly under 18.
- We do not run promotional campaigns that frame play as a way to make a living, recover financial losses, or solve personal problems.
- We do not use dark patterns to keep you playing (no fake scarcity, no "you almost won" teasers, no surprise rewards designed to trigger compulsive play).
- We respond to self-exclusion and time-out requests within 48 hours.
